# Export Project Contents

### Overview

In Company Owned Projects there are options to either export the project contents to excel or export the land/asset documents to a ZIP file.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FZEhKofuVdvYlInvoBBXz%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=26906072-f96c-4031-a43d-fbb1de578dbd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Export Project to Excel

**Export Project to Excel** - The exported file will contain all the project contents including the data displayed on the Land File and Assets Grids along with links to each of the documents to view in StackDX.

<figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2F0inzXgSvutrXoIMyYH2n%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f850f260-34cf-4da2-b9d4-fc77e9b740e5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Export Well Doc Type Summary to Excel

**Export Well Doc Type Summary to Excel** – This is ONLY available when clicked on the Wells tab. The exported file will contain the Well Document Type (ie. Daily Completion/Workover Report) counts for the wells in the project. &#x20;

<figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FSXr8khMQAR89nzCB2BPo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=93f352c4-fc9a-458a-8d02-4a439f4d644f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: The 'Export Doc Type Summary to Excel' Export can also be exported from the Wells Grid in StackDX.

In a StackDX navigate to the Wells Grid and click the 'Export Well Doc Type Summary to Excel' option within the dropdown in the top right corner of the page to generate the export.

See [Assets Grid Export](/assets/the-basics/export-and-download/assets-grid-export.md) section for more details.
{% endhint %}

### **Export Land & Asset Docs to Zip**

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: For projects sharing selected documents the 'Export to Land/Asset Docs to Zip' option will ONLY contain SHARED documents not all the documents that exist in each land file or asset.
{% endhint %}

**Export Land Docs to Zip** - Export all the land documents that exist in the project to a .zip file. There is the ability to narrow your results by Category when exporting the documents.&#x20;

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2F861arnRKNRb5dyPXQzlZ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0b09e0d9-75a3-4883-9272-8718b32e341c" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

**Export Asset Docs to Zip** - Export all the asset documents that exist in the project to a .zip file. There is the ability to narrow your results by Category and Doc Type when exporting the documents. The folder structure of the documents from StackDX will be retained in .zip file.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FvmzUMx1dbpapQQsvoz1L%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=619b6029-3a7f-4817-93ba-8cab05edaf98" alt="" width="532"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
There are two naming options for the exported file names – Original and Stack File Name.&#x20;

**Original File Naming**: Will export the documents using the file name as displayed in StackDX (ie. FileName.pdf)&#x20;

**Stack File Naming**: Will export the documents using a meaningful name that can help to easily identify specific exported documents.&#x20;

* **Land** - The file name will use the File Number, Category, Title and Doc Date as they are in StackDX (ie. File Number-Category-Title-Doc Date.pdf).
* **Assets** - The file name will use the Category, Title and Doc Date as they are in StackDX (ie. Category-Title-Doc Date.pdf).
  {% endhint %}

Below are examples using both Original and Stack File Naming conventions for Land & Assets. &#x20;

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FOXMO2XJJu4kZIREHfA6x%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f879e99b-d130-4fa6-9397-af61cd9f6ffe" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example Land Document Export using Original File Naming</p></figcaption></figure></div>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FCOhZquFor0T9YYfkROVd%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8fe1199d-40bb-4e85-9075-015ffa098aab" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example Land Document Export using Stack File Naming</p></figcaption></figure></div>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FMZ5LmzvstjOFi1z2fDBw%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5cbcc3c2-273b-4402-8662-14bf102a25eb" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example Asset Document Export using Original File Naming</p></figcaption></figure></div>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FsjARZlivGNr9shptbsGn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=adf63652-b08f-42b0-9311-401792ca1e37" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example Asset Document Export using Stack File Naming</p></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: When using the Stack File Naming there is potential for different files to have the same file name based on their information (ie. File Number, Category, Title, Doc Date, etc.).&#x20;

* **Land** - If this is the case, the exported files will be named with a suffix. The suffix will be their specific Document Path ID (ie. 1232035). See below example: &#x20;

![](https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FTzntu5D4btD60SsqdYXD%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=79e91c27-fb36-4054-8898-3a4f3ae61856)

![](https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FyGa4U01BIPWsDzOht2TW%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=591f2286-4e3c-4861-be64-4735a72db8c8)

* **Assets** - If this is the case, the exported files will be named with a suffix (ie. \_1, \_2, \_3, etc.). See below example:&#x20;

![](https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FLAsS1EutlyfGICAgooCY%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=59d107a7-f85e-4d30-bf9b-f6e9923529d9)

![](https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2F48qRBEYkY53CIhQpndat%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=1a20dfd8-6704-43b5-b2bd-78b0fd40bc6e)
{% endhint %}

### Download & View the Files

The files will be exported to a .xlsx or .zip file and will be available for download in the Job Manager option in the top right corner of StackDX site. A panel will display with all the jobs being performed.

{% hint style="info" %}
Tip: The Job Manager will display a green icon when the job (ie. Export) has been completed.

![](https://3514207084-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FClAjQMgk4tfbLAMWKVCZ%2Fuploads%2FOBiCC9990AXwcbYLEkx5%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=6d271014-2997-4963-b7a4-e8567ca1ca84)
{% endhint %}

Click on the File/Link and the file (ie. .xlsx, .zip, etc.) will be immediately downloaded by your browser and placed in a folder (ie. Downloads Folder) for you to access.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.stackdx.com/projects/company-owned-projects/export-and-download/export-project-contents.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
