Edit Wells
If you are required to change any of the Well information you can within StackDX depending on if the well exists in the land system and/or regulator. This guide will show you how to edit the well information and explain which information is able to be adjusted within StackDX.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells & Locations Write’ permissions to edit well data.
Editable Well Fields
Depending on if the well exists in the land system and/or regulator data there are different fields that can be edited for the well.
If the well does NOT exist in either the land system or regulator data you are able edit ALL the available fields for the well.
If the well does exist in the regulator data ONLY you are able to edit the below fields:
Internal Asset Code
Internal Pad Code
Well Name
Cost Centre
Admin BA
Area
Prov/State
Select/Deselect Active
Note: You are UNABLE to edit UWI, Surface Location and Licence # fields.
If the well does exist in the land system you are UNABLE to edit any data.
Edit Wells
The Wells Edit option is available from the Wells Grid or if you are viewing a well.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


Edit from the Wells Grid
Click on the dropdown menu next to a well on the Wells Grid

Click the Edit option from the dropdown

Edit well information and click Save
Edit from Wells View
Click on a well from the Wells Grid

Click the Edit option within the dropdown in the top right corner of the page

Edit well information and click Save
The Wells Edit page will be displayed with all the available information. The information fields will either be enabled or disabled depending on if the user is able to edit them.
