Merge Documents
If you have PDF documents that you would like to consolidate into a single document, you can simply merge the documents within StackDX. This guide will include how to utilize the merge option to combine Asset documents.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells/Locations Write’ or ‘Facilities/Pipelines Write’ permissions to merge asset documents.
The merge option is only available for PDF documents and can be performed from the Asset Docs Grid.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.

From the Asset Docs Grid select multiple PDF documents

Click Modify > Merge

The 'Merge Documents' dialog will display with all the selected asset documents listed. Set the order of the documents using the arrows and the file name for the merged document, then click Merge. The resulting merged will be displayed in the Asset Docs Grid after its completed.

Note: If you have any file types other than .pdf selected and attempt to merge the documents the below dialog will appear. Please check your selection and ensure only PDFs are selected to merge.
