Delete Documents
If you have documents that need to be removed from an asset, you can delete the documents. The documents will be soft deleted therefore can be viewed and restored to the asset if needed. This guide will include how to delete both single and multiple documents.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells/Locations Write’ or ‘Facilities/Pipelines Write’ permissions to delete asset documents.
Deleting Single Documents
Deleting a document can be performed from both the Asset Docs Grid and when viewing the document.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


Either from the Asset Docs Grid or Document View click the dropdown menu

Deleting Multiple Documents
Deleting multiple documents can be performed from the Asset Docs Grid.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


From the Asset Docs Grid select the document(s)

Click Modify > Delete

Click Delete

The document(s) will be removed from the Assets grid. Deleted documents will not be included when searching the Asset documents. The deleted file is only soft deleted and can be viewed and restored if needed. See Restore Documents section for more details.
To view the deleted document, select the Show Deleted option in the search/filter panel. See Asset Docs Search/Filter section for more details.
