Copy Asset Folders
If you have documents withing an asset folder that need to be present in another asset, you can copy the folder contents to another folder location or asset if needed. All the documents and subfolders contained in a folder will be copied to the new location. This guide will include how to copy both single and multiple folder contents to other locations.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells/Locations Write’ or ‘Facilities/Pipelines Write’ permissions to copy asset folder content.
Copying Single Folder Contents
Copying folder contents to another location can be performed in the Folders View of the Asset Docs Grid.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.
Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.
Go to an asset and click Folders to display the documents in Folders View
Click the dropdown menu next to a folder
Click Copy Contents
Select the destination Asset Type (Surface Location, Well, Facility, Pipeline)
Search and select the destination Asset
Note: When searching for an Asset (Surface Location, Well, Facility, Pipeline), there are several parameters that can be searched. Matching search results will display as the input is entered.
Surface Location – Search by Surface Location
Well – Search by Location, UWI or Licence #
Facility – Search by Location, Facility ID, Facility Name or Licence #
Pipeline – Search by Location, Pipeline Name or Licence-Line #
Alternatively, you can select Use Current option and will choose the asset you are in currently.
Select a destination Folder and click Save
Copying Multiple Folder Contents
Copying folder contents to another location can be performed in the Folders View of the Asset Docs Grid.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid

From the Asset Docs Grid select the folder(s)
Click Modify > Copy
Select the destination Asset Type (Surface Location, Well, Facility, Pipeline)
Search and select the destination Asset
