Restore Asset Folders
If folders were previously deleted from an asset and you wish to make them visible when using the default search filters, they can be restored. This guide outlines how to restore individual and multiple folders.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells/Locations Write’ or ‘Facilities/Pipelines Write’ permissions to restore asset folders.
Restoring a folder is performed from the Folders View of the Asset Docs Grid with the Show Deleted Items option selected.

Restoring Single Folders
Restoring a folder is performed from the Folders View of the Asset Docs Grid with the Show Deleted Items option selected.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


Click the dropdown menu next to a deleted folder

Click Restore Folder

Click Restore

Restoring Multiple Folders
Restoring folders is performed from the Folders View of the Asset Docs Grid with the Show Deleted Items option selected.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


From the Asset Docs Grid select the folders

Click Modify > Restore

Click Restore

The folders, along with their contents, are restored and are viewable in the Asset Docs Grid when using the default search filters.
