Edit Doc Info
There may be instances when you would like to change some information for an Asset document (Surface Locations, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) that has been uploaded to StackDX. The information in the Document Info panel can be adjusted by the user if this is required. This guide will show you what information can be changed and how to change it.
Note: Users require the ‘Wells & Locations Write’ or ‘Facilities & Pipelines Write’ permissions to edit the asset document information.
Navigate to an asset document that you would like to modify the document information for and click to view the document.
Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid
Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.


The ‘Document Info’ panel will appear on the left side of the page by default when viewing the document. To add/change the document information, click the Edit option in the panel.

The ‘Edit Asset Doc’ dialog will appear with all the different items you can either add or modify. Click Save after the edits are done.

Category – Select a category from the list of items.

Title – Modify the title of the document. Title will be displayed in the Document Info panel and document grid.
Note: There is a maximum limit of 500 characters for document title.
Document Type(s) - Select any document types from the list if items.

Note: If a Document Type is selected for an asset document, there will be a doc type tag displayed in the Title column of the document grid.

Doc Date – Select or Modify the document date (ie. 2025-09-29).
File Name – Modify the file name of the document. File Name will be displayed in the Document Info panel and document grid.
Note: There is a maximum limit of 256 characters for file name.
Sent to Regulator – Select a ‘Sent to Regulator’ date (ie. 2025-09-29).
Note: If a ‘Sent to Regulator’ date is set for an asset document, there will be a ‘Regulator’ tag displayed in the Status column of the document grid.

Setting 'Sent to Regulator' Date for Multiple Documents
For Assets there is the ability to set/remove the ‘Sent to Regulator’ date for multiple documents at once. This allows the user to set/remove the dates more efficiently if they must do that for multiple documents. See the below steps:
From the Asset Doc Grid select the document(s)
Click Modify > Edit Doc Info

Then the ‘Update Doc Info’ dialog will be displayed. Select the ‘Sent to Regulator’ date and enter or remove the dates. Click Save and the dates will appear or be removed for the selected assets in the Document Info panel.


Sent to Partner – Select a ‘Sent to Partner’ date (ie. 2025-09-25).
Note: If a ‘Sent to Partner’ date is set for an asset document, there will be a ‘Partner’ tag displayed in the Status column of the document grid.

Setting 'Sent to Partner' Dates for Multiple Documents
For Assets there is the ability to set/remove the ‘Sent to Partner’ date for multiple documents at once. This allows the user to set/remove the dates more efficiently if they must do that for multiple documents. See the below steps:
From the Asset Doc Grid select the document(s)
Click Modify > Edit Doc Info

Then the ‘Update Doc Info’ dialog will be displayed. Select the ‘Sent to Partner’ date and enter or remove the dates. Click Save and the dates will appear or be removed for the selected assets in the Document Info panel.


Marked As Reviewed – Selecting will prevent the Category, Title, Doc Date from being updated by Edith preserving any user changes.
Note: If the ‘Marked As Reviewed’ option is selected when saving the document information, a ‘green man’ icon will appear next to the File Name in the document grid. Hovering the icon will let the user know who and when it was reviewed.

Note: If you want to remove the ‘Marked As Reviewed’ setting you can either deselect the option in the ‘Edit Asset Doc’ dialog and click Save or when viewing the document, select Mark as Unreviewed from the dropdown menu.
