Auto-Versioning Documents
When uploading Asset Documents (Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) if the file name matches an already present document there is the ability to upload as a new version into StackDX using the Auto-Versioning feature. This will allow you to easily identify the new version of documents when uploading multiple documents keeping the document history all in one location.
This guide will walk you through how to utilize the Auto-Version feature when uploading documents.
Select Upload Documents
Navigate to an Asset (Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) in StackDX and choose your documents to upload.
In the Asset Docs Grid (either Folders or Files View) click Upload Documents

Choose a Folder location to upload the document

Either Click Choose Files and browse to your documents OR drag your documents to the Or Drop file(s) here box

Auto-Versioning Feature
After selecting your documents to upload, all the chosen documents will be listed. If any of the selected documents have the same file name as an existing document in that folder location the Auto-Versioning Feature will display with the option to either make the document you are uploading a new version or upload as its own new document.

If the document exists in multiple locations they will display and will be updated as well if you choose to make the document the current version.

The updated documents will then appear in the Assets Grid. Once the document has been processed it will be assigned a category and the status will be Complete.
View Document History
The 'History' tab will display all the previous versions of the document. The previous versions can be downloaded or deleted.

The number count next to the 'History' tab will indicate the number of previous versions for the document. The number of previous versions will also appear in the Asset Docs grid with a tag next to File Name (ie. 1 Historical).
