Create Pipeline Segments

StackDX synchronizes nightly with your land management system (ie. CS Land, LandRite) and regulatory databases to create and update pipeline segment information. In some cases you may need to upload documents to StackDX before the pipeline record is present. For these situations, you can manually create the pipeline in StackDX. Once the pipeline has been added to your land system or registered with the regulator, the next sync will automatically link any matching pipelines. This guide will show you how to create new pipelines in StackDX.

Note: Users require the ‘Facilities & Pipelines Admin’ permissions to create new Pipeline Segments.

Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid

Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.

  1. Click the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the Pipeline Segments Grid page

  2. Click Create New

  1. Search and select a Pipeline by entering either a Location or Licence-Line #. Matching search results will display as the input is entered.

Note: Only Pipeline Segments that exist in the regulator data can be added into StackDX.

After selecting a Pipeline Segment the available regulator data will be displayed.

  1. Click Save

The selected Pipeline Segment will display in the Pipeline Segments Grid.
