Delete Surface Locations

If you are required to remove surface locations that can be done in StackDX. The user can ONLY delete surface locations that do NOT contain any documents. This guide will show you how to delete the surface locations.

The Surface Locations Delete option is available from the Surface Locations Grid or if you are viewing a surface location.

Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid

Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.

Delete from the Surface Locations Grid

1. Click on the dropdown menu next to the surface location you want to be deleted

1. Click the Delete Location option from the dropdown

1. Click on the surface location you want to be deleted

1. Click the Delete Location option within the dropdown in the top right corner of the page

1. Click Delete

The surface location will be removed from StackDX and not be displayed in the Surface Locations Grid by default. The deleted surface locations are only soft deleted and can be viewed and restored if needed. See Restore Surface Locations section for more details.

To display any soft deleted surface locations on the Surface Locations Grid, click on the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the Surface Locations Grid page. Then click Show Deleted Items to display the deleted surface locations on the grid.
