Delete Wells

If you are required to remove wells that can be done in StackDX. The user can ONLY delete wells that do not exist in the land/source system. This guide will show you how to delete the wells.

The Wells Delete option is available from the Wells Grid or if you are viewing a well.

Navigate to Assets & Asset Docs Grid

Navigate to the Assets Grid (Surface Location, Wells, Facilities, Pipeline Segments) by clicking the Assets dropdown menu at the top of the page. This will display all the Assets related modules/options. Then click any of the Asset Types to view its Assets Grid.

Then to view the uploaded documents navigate to the Asset Docs Grid for a particular asset by clicking the document link in the ‘Related To’ column or enter the asset and go to the ‘Asset, Well, Facility or Segment Docs’ tab.

Delete from the Wells Grid

1. Click on the dropdown menu next to the well you want to be deleted

1. Click the Delete option from the dropdown

1. Click on the well you want to be deleted

1. Click the Delete Well option within the dropdown in the top right corner of the page

1. Click Delete

The well and any documents it contained will be removed from StackDX and not be displayed in the Wells Grid by default. The deleted well and documents are only soft deleted and can be viewed and restored if needed. See Restore Wells section for more details.

To display any soft deleted wells on the Wells Grid, click on the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the Wells Grid page. Then click Show Deleted Items to display the deleted wells on the grid.
